MOUSE TOGGLE | FREE VIRTUAL MOUSE FOR AMAZON FIRESTICK | FIRETV | ANDROID | HELP & TROUBLESHOOTING

Some of you may have experienced that annoying problem with some 3rd party apps that you have installed. They just do not quite work right, maybe you can’t press a certain button or you cannot access parts of the screen.

This is usually due to the fact that the app was never designed for the device you are using it on such as a Firestick or Android box. This is where a virtual mouse could be the solution. It’s free, easy to install & gives your device more control.

Check out the video above for a step-by-step video guide or below for some helpful links and answers to some FAQs.

FAQ’s

Mouse Toggle – Firestick HD Version works with the FireTV Cube 2nd gen.

If you have the FireTV Cube 1st gen, you may struggle to get Mouse Toggle up & running. If this is the case for you, you can try using the Amazon Fire TV app from the Google Play store on your android smartphone or tablet instead.

Mouse Toggle – Firestick HD Version works with the 2nd gen Firestick.

It may sound obvious, but just check to make sure you are double pressing the play/pause button on your remote & not any other button.

You can also try double pressing a few times as if you have double pressed too slowly or too fast, the Mouse Toggle will not appear. So it might not be the case that it is not working. Try double pressing a few times & try playing about with double pressing at different speeds.

Additionally, if you are trying to find the mouse pointer in the Home screen of your Fire TV device, this will not work. You must be within an application to be able to activate & use it.

If you cannot get Mouse Toggle to start, follow these steps:

– Turn off both Mouse service & Auto start (toggle them off)

– Select the ADB SETTINGS button to be taken to this setting. If you are not automatically taken there, press & hold down the Home button for several seconds then go to Settings > My Fire TV > Developer Options > Turn ADB Debugging off then on

– Return to Mouse toggle by pressing the back button

– Turn on both Mouse service & Auto start (toggle them on)

You may get a prompt on screen to Allow USB Debugging? Tick the box to always allow and click OK

Try installing a different version of mouse toggle. You may have installed the incorrect one.

As an alternative, you can try installing Cetus play or the My Fire TV app, both of which you can get from Google Play. These are applications you can use as a Mouse by controlling & navigating your Firestick through an android application on your smartphone or tablet.
